On Wednesday, I shared that I recently read an article in the Financial Times “Dog funds hold £13bn.” Yes, a staggering £13 billion of private investor’s money is currently invested in funds that have fallen short of their benchmark in each of the past three years and by at least 10 percent.

One of the biggest assumptions many uneducated investors make is thinking that a top investment house is a sure-fire bet. Wrong. The key to success does not lie in the investment house, but instead in the hands of the fund manager.
