I’ve recently written an ISA Trend Investing Guide that shows you how you could make a million using ISAs.
Recently I’ve been taking extracts from the guide which means that through this blog you’re getting an exclusive sneak preview and for free (The guides retail price is £9.95).
In my previous blog I started sharing with you Step 3 - Time Buys and Exits, which is part of the three key steps of ISA Trend Investing.
Today I’m going to continue by looking at chart patterns which can help you determine the buy point for a fund.
ISA Trend Investing - Step 3 - Time Buys and Exits (continued)
To get the 1-year view of the chart pattern (which helps you to see what pattern it’s forming), click on the down arrow next to “Growth of £10,000” and then click on the “Price” link.

To find the 1-year period we were looking for, we simply clicked on the “1 Yr” link at the bottom of the chart.
When looking at the yearly chart pattern, we carefully analyse the chart to determine if the pattern is sound and possibly ready for buying. This takes skill and lots and lots of practice.
By reading William O’Neil’s classic How to Make Money in Stocks, you’ll see numerous diagrams of what bullish chart patterns look like.

With this particular fund, what it appeared to be showing was what is known as a double bottom chart pattern. This is a positive chart pattern in chartist’s eyes.
What this told us is that if the market became healthy and if the fund could break past the buy point, the fund could be bought at that point in time.
Next week we are to move onto how you can gain extra percentage points - helping you boost your overall compounded returns - by simply making some smart decisions.
Until next time my friend.
