Become a Liquid Millionaire by Maximising Your Beliefs on Life Expectancy
In a recent article I gave you a formula for becoming a ‘liquid’ millionaire using ISA Trend Investing.
I also told you how it is possible to turn your first million into £75 million if you make it a goal to become a centenarian (someone who lives to be 100).
Today I want to show you, using a case study, how important the power of belief is when it comes to setting a goal like this.
The Negative Power of Life Expectancy
In order to demonstrate how important a person’s beliefs are when it comes to life expectancy I am going to use my gran, Ivy Sutherland as a case study.
Ivy was born in 1915, which tells you that in 2008, when she very peacefully passed on, she was 93. In the year she was born, life expectancy was just 54.
When my gran was born, there is no way that her parents would have believed that she was going to live past 90, as that would have been 66.7% more than the life expectancy prediction.
It would be like saying that a child born today is going to live until they are 143. People just would not be able to get their heads around it.
Can you imagine somebody telling my gran’s parents that she was going to live past 90 when at that time life expectancy was 54? People would think that they were crazy to make such a claim.
Be Careful About What People Tell You
Now let’s move on a little in time. By the time Gran was 35 (in 1950) life expectancy for women had risen to 71.
Had Gran listened to and believed the life expectancy statistics of 1950 (when she was 35) she may, because of the power of belief, have passed on around 1986 instead of in 2008, 22 years later.
One reason why we should not pay too much attention to the current life expectancy figures is because if we set in our minds on a certain age that we believe we are going to live to, we might pop our clogs prematurely–simply because we believe that the end is near.
What Is Your Personal Life Expectancy?
What age do you expect to live to?
Maybe it’s time you let go of any limiting beliefs regarding life expectancy and began to plan for a prosperous and exciting old age.
Next time, I am going to talk about another important feature in living longer and maximising your probability of financial success – your Ultimate Goal in Life.
But in the meantime, if you have any questions regarding how it is possible to turn your first million into as much as £75 million with ISA Trend Investing then please do not hesitate to contact one of my team for a chat. As always you have my word there will be no sales, no jargon, just the facts.
